Minneapolis Institute of Art/Art Research & Reference Library
Head Librarian
Minneapolis,MN
I began my 32 year art museum library career at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, NY as an Assistant Librarian/Archivist and then was later promoted to Head Librarian. For the past 20 1/2 years I have been working as a Head Librarian at the Minneapolis Institute of Art (Mia), where I have overseen several preservation and accessibility initiatives involving the documentary collections of Mia's Library and Archives. In November 2014 I earned my Digital Archives Specialist Certificate from the Society of American Archivists and was recertified in 2018. I was also an RMIA (Roberta Mann Innovation Award) recipient in 2017 which enabled Mia Library staff to attend the Wikimania 2017 conference in Montreal. In Fall 2017 I completed the 9-week course offered by OCLC/WebJunction, "Wikipedia + Libraries: Better Together".
